Jessica Marshall

jessica.jpgName: Jessica Joy Marshall
DOB: October 4, 1978
Place where you were saved: I was saved at Camp Life in Bear Mountain, New York, when I was three and a half years old. Our family did the drama, “Dr. Law and Dr. Grace”, based on a message by Lester Roloff. I remember being convicted of my need and going to the front row where my mom was standing. She led me to the Lord that night.
Part you sing: mainly alto, sometimes soprano
Instruments: guitar, piano, mandolin
When you began singing: I was three or four. I started playing instruments in church when I was five or six. I didn’t start working on the guitar until I was seventeen.

Other notes of interest

Person who inspires you the most & why: The Lord Jesus Christ, first and foremost, because He died for me and cares for me every day. Secondly, my parents. They are incredible saints of God.

Person you would like to be & why: I just want to serve God in any capacity that He would desire of me.

Dislikes about the road: packing and unpacking, being cooped up in the van for hours

What makes road worthwhile: Seeing someone saved. Hearing a testimony of how a family has been encouraged or strengthened through our music. That does more for me than anyone could know!

Embarrassing moment on the road: I have been known to drop my mandolin pick right in the middle of a song…as well as dropping my guitar face down on the platform right before a song. Once while eating at a restaurant I squeezed a sour cream packet so hard it exploded and hit four people in the face across the table (including the pastor and his wife) before landing on the floor.
