I really loved your music when you came to my church, Diamond Springs Baptist on May 7th. My daughter really loved it too. I looked at the pictures of your log cabin and it is awesome! I’ve always wanted to live in a log cabin. My prayers are that the Lord continues to bless your music and your family.

Hi Marshall family. I met your family in the mid ’80’s. You came to our church(Faith Bible Church) in Glens Falls NY. I just recently heard that you visited the Church that my uncle Donald Pendley pastors. I think that it’s awesome that you continue to travel and spread the Word Of God through your music.
May God continue to bless you.

Hey!!! I just saw where yall recently added a date in Durham, NC @ Fellowship Baptist. That’s Great!!! I haven’t seen yall in person since Roxboro Christian Academy 1994/95 school year.

I’m just gonna have to break my own rule about not missing services at my own church to attend Fellowship Baptist this one time,…if I don’t, it’s likely to be another 13 years before yall are close by again! LOL

Can’t wait to see yall. God bless! ~ C

You visited our church, about 8 or 9 years ago, that was 32 grandchildren ago, I believe. (you had 6 children traveling with you at the time). Your whole family came over to eat with us, we lived around the corner from the church. We had such a splendid time with you. The church, Gethsemane Baptist Church, Long Beach, CA … (do you remember now?)

I saw the pictures of the family, Say, Lee, You mentioned once that you have prayed for 100 grandchildren. Well, 32 isn’t a bad start, yes?
Your family is just beautiful!
I do hear your music on the “Old Fashion Christian Radio” station on the internet. I remember the first time I heard one of the Marshall Family songs, I was so surprised and blessed..
“Wow, and they broke bread with us, what a blessing” ….
Just keep on keeping on for the Lord as you have.

So, Brother John, you built a log cabin? That is wonderful!
Sounds like something right up your alley, too.
Music, Preaching, and log cabining…. Awesome!

I’ll bookmark your site and I look forward to keeping up to date with what’s up.

In His Grip,
Ilah Hardesty (eye-lah)
Dennis Hardesty (the husband unit..)
and our “mere” 3 wonderful children who were much younger then …

Psalms 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Hello Marshalls! In the past few months, we just ordered the 2 newsest cds…One More Mile and Mountain Heritage. Love, Love, Love them!! They are such a blessing, as are the rest of your cds and dvds. Is there any way to get the music cd(s) from The Montoros? I think I once saw them available on this site, but not anymore. Also, will you ever release a cd or dvd from your 30th reunion/anniversary? Hope so! God bless!!

Divine appointment? I believe it was.
I asked my husband to turn on “Old Fashioned Christian Music Radio” while we were preparing to attend a “Home Going” today. A dear sister in the Lord was laid to rest today, but we all know that to be absent from the body is to be present with Our Lord for those who have trusted Him and Him alone to get them to Heaven.
Our family’s gift of ministry is through song. While warming up my voice to sing at the funeral, your song “Just for a Moment” started playing on the computer. I just wanted you to know moments like funerals are not top on my list of favorites, but when your song came on I couldn’t help but sing and be joyful despite the sadness in my heart. Thanks for the reminder to rejoice in everything and to live life to the fullest because every “moment” comes from Him.

Dear Marshall family
I feel soooo blessed to know about you and the wonderful music you all made over the years, first time I got to hear you all sing was about 10 years ago at Light House Baptist Church in San Diego CA I had just got saved and Mrs. Marshall spoke to the ladies about “how to dress ” as a Christian lady “slits, tight form fitting, open, or low cut shirts tight short skirts, you name it she spoke against it and oh boy did I need that!!!!!!!! It was a BLESSING !!!!!!!! when it was over it felt like God himself came down and spoke to my heart and through what ever words she said HE did a marvelous change inside me, IT WAS NOT TOO LONG AFTER THAT, my whole clothes closet changed and praise the LORD I have no desire to ever go back, since then I have learned to sew some long wide skirts and dresses for my 2 girls and my self.
Mrs. Marshall I do not know if you remember, you came to my hair salon, I gave you a perm and hair cut it was such a blessing to visit with you, back then all I wanted to do was to be like you when I grow up, in fact you were one of the ladies that told me about home schooling too, so I just wanted you to know that your sacrifices and ministry has blessed me greatly.
Praise Jesus for your ministry

Hello! We are looking at using “Desire the Fire” for our church theme song this year. I noticed you were recently at Mtn. View in Hesperia. Did you make any forts in the desert? Time goes by much to quickly.

Hello Danae,

It certainly brought back memories from the past returning to Hesperia. We didn’t find any of the old forts though. :-) Enjoyed hearing from you!

Hello, Mrs. Vineyard! It was great to see you all again, too. Exciting to see the church and how things have been progressing. We’ll be sure to let you know if we’re in the area again. Thanks one more time for all that you did for us while we were there.

We’ll pass along your request to Becky. :-) God bless you in 2008!

Hello Marshalls! Just wanting to let you know how much we enjoy browsing your website. It’s always great to read what you’ve all been up to and to view the pictures. We’ve noticed some familiar faces - preachers who’ve been our guest speakers for conferences here in Australia, and their wives.
We truly hope you had a blessed Christmas and that the New Year is better yet. God bless you all!

In Christ,
Rebekah and Rachel.

Hi Rebekah and Rachel,

It’s good to hear from down under. Always a blessing to know that there are others staying faithful in countries around the world. We will have a grand reunion in Heaven one day! Thanks for writing.

Dear Marshall family I have always loved your music even from the day your children were all small. I really believe not only did you work hard at honoring God with it and practice, but you put alot of prayer into your music as well. I say this because even in Todays churches with music changing and even those trying to keep the old, it is almost like music has either gone over to the worlds side and keeping up with them or I feel when most do sing and praise God its not really singing from the heart of worship and praise the way it was designed.

In my singing this is what I always pray and strive for, for my voice to be of a singing prayer because I know it pleases God. I wish more christians who do love to sing would feel this way and if they did their own song would shine forth to others as a prayer and praise.

I am excited to find an old card with your site on it and will later in the future order cds. I have one cassette tape given to me years back as gift and have listened to that only tape for awhile now and have sang with it. It is the one with “He gives me joy” and I sing right along.

Thank you I am excited to find this site and will order in the near future.

God bless! Thank you for not changing your music, we so desperately need good Godly music in these bad days ahead.

Sincerely Teresa

Dear Marshalls,

Thank you for coming to Windsor Hills Baptist Church a few weeks ago. Your singing was refreshing to hear. It was Christ-honoring, and you meant what you sang! I got two of your CDs and hope to get more soon.

It was a blessing to meet you all in the college office as well. Your spirit and godliness is a blessing in a time when the love of many has waxed cold.

Keep on serving the Lord! You all are a blessing!

Hello, Luba! Thanks for your note. We enjoyed being with you and Windsor Hills in November. It was good to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Thanks for letting us barge in at the office, too.

Lord willing, one day we may be able to get back out to Oklahoma. God bless you!

Dear Marshalls,

Thanks for the good, wholesome music - free from the “Rock” that tarnishes contemporary music. There are many out there that still want the “good old stuff”! (After I receive my current order/Christmas gifts, I will have 8 of your CDs.) Your modest appearances are also appreciated. Keep serving Him, and have a blessed Christmas!

Landon,

Thanks for your kind words. It’s not always easy standing for the “old ways”, but we have seen over the years that it is definitely worth the battle. Please keep us in your prayers more than ever! The devil fights hard and we are not exempt.

Merry Christmas!

Greetings, and Merry Christmas!

Last time I saw your family live was in 1995 (or ‘94,…whichever part of my senior year you came to Roxboro Christian Academy). Your family is a tremendous blessing. Can’t wait to see you all again if ever you come back to NC.

Keep on that firing line!

Thanks for your entry, Chris. It’s great to know that there are folks out there who are still serving the Lord who have been blessed by the music. Please keep praying for us, and don’t ever stop. It’s a battle!

Maybe we’ll get back to NC someday.

Merry Christmas to you, too!

Holly,

It was nice to see you and your family again. We hope we were able to help a little as you prepare for the road life. It can be fun, but not without its problems. God will be there with you! Perhaps we’ll cross paths again soon.

Drop us a line at info@johnmarshallfamily.com and we’ll try to help you find the sheet music. Unfortunately, we don’t have it ourselves.

God bless!

Hello My Name is Felix from Puerto Rico.

Is good to know that there are still some youth that are worshiping God in Spirit and truth.

I visited your site some years ago and now I see that there are some chages in it.

I was looking for a funny picture in your site where the girls of The Family Marshall appears with their musical instruments like if they were weapons.

I wanted to know if it still available somewhere because I really like it for a music study that I have to do for school.

In any case If it possible you could send it to my e-mail which is gonzalez_20032002@yahoo.com

Well, thank you and keep the good job guys.

God bless
