Hi - the last time I saw your family was probably about 25 years ago when I was in elementary school - your family came to my church First Bible Baptist Church in Rochester New York. Your kids came over to my house and swam in the pool. I loved your music and still remember parts of it till this day. My favorite was Pray for Daddy - I sing the parts that I remember to my daughter, and it always brings a tear to my eyes (sappy woman ya know). I was so excited to find this site - as soon as I can I will by buying that CD. Thanks for serving God all these years and the impact you had on my life and so many others.

I was at Landmark with John and Matt. Music has always been an important part of my life, and God used the testimonies of John and Matt to help me break away from music that was not glorifying Him or helping me spiritually. I love your music and I wish I could share it with my church when I sing specials. Godly music is hard to find when your looking for songs to sing in church. Please make some soundtracks available. Thank you so much for your wonderful ministry!
Posted on June 3, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Hi Cheston,
It’s great to hear your testimony. Continue on for the Lord! Maybe one of these days we’ll get some soundtracks published. We have had requests but have not made any available yet. God bless you!

Hi Marshall family. I met your family in the mid ’80’s. You came to our church(Faith Bible Church) in Glens Falls NY. I just recently heard that you visited the Church that my uncle Donald Pendley pastors. I think that it’s awesome that you continue to travel and spread the Word Of God through your music.
May God continue to bless you.

I’m just gonna have to break my own rule about not missing services at my own church to attend Fellowship Baptist this one time,…if I don’t, it’s likely to be another 13 years before yall are close by again! LOL
Can’t wait to see yall. God bless! ~ C

You visited our church, about 8 or 9 years ago, that was 32 grandchildren ago, I believe. (you had 6 children traveling with you at the time). Your whole family came over to eat with us, we lived around the corner from the church. We had such a splendid time with you. The church, Gethsemane Baptist Church, Long Beach, CA … (do you remember now?)
I saw the pictures of the family, Say, Lee, You mentioned once that you have prayed for 100 grandchildren. Well, 32 isn’t a bad start, yes?
Your family is just beautiful!
I do hear your music on the “Old Fashion Christian Radio” station on the internet. I remember the first time I heard one of the Marshall Family songs, I was so surprised and blessed..
“Wow, and they broke bread with us, what a blessing” ….
Just keep on keeping on for the Lord as you have.
So, Brother John, you built a log cabin? That is wonderful!
Sounds like something right up your alley, too.
Music, Preaching, and log cabining…. Awesome!
I’ll bookmark your site and I look forward to keeping up to date with what’s up.
In His Grip,
Ilah Hardesty (eye-lah)
Dennis Hardesty (the husband unit..)
and our “mere” 3 wonderful children who were much younger then …

Psalms 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 Â He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 Â And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Hello Marshalls! In the past few months, we just ordered the 2 newsest cds…One More Mile and Mountain Heritage. Love, Love, Love them!! They are such a blessing, as are the rest of your cds and dvds. Is there any way to get the music cd(s) from The Montoros? I think I once saw them available on this site, but not anymore. Also, will you ever release a cd or dvd from your 30th reunion/anniversary? Hope so! God bless!!
Posted on April 8, 2008 at 7:51 pm
Hi Natasha!
Thanks for your encouragement. We would like to have the Montoro’s CD for sale again soon, but we do not have a date on that yet. We will be doing a special on the Reunion DVD soon, so look out for that. It will probably only be available for our newsletter signups, so make sure you’re on our list. God bless!

Seems I remember that yall mentioned publishing a video of your family reunion singing from last year…Am I mistaken? or is that still a work in progress? In either case, just wanted to let you know what a blessing your latest two CD’s have been (the one with all the Camp Songs, and Mountain Heritage).
Keep up the good work! In Christ ~ Chris

Let’s try this again.
Greetings from sunny North Carolina! I really miss ya’ll! Hope you all are doing well. Besides a few runny noses and sneezes, we are doing pretty good. Dad’s health is a lot better…no pain from the surgery in over 2 months! Praise God!
Have you had any snow up there? We’ve been having sunny weather down here for the last several weeks (besides a couple rain showers). It’s been in the 60’s and 70’s!
Hope we get to see ya’ll again soon!
God bless you!

Heard you for the first time this past Saturday on the local public radio station, and was greatly moved by your song, “I’ve Got Something the World Can’t Take Away” (at least I think that was the title). Thank you for the wonderful music and inspiration!
Posted on March 3, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Dear Happy,
Thanks for your message. We’re not exactly sure what the song is that you mentioned. Perhaps you are mistaking us for the Judy Marshall Family? Either way, thanks for stopping by.
Posted on March 4, 2008 at 5:53 pm
Divine appointment? I believe it was.
I asked my husband to turn on “Old Fashioned Christian Music Radio” while we were preparing to attend a “Home Going” today. A dear sister in the Lord was laid to rest today, but we all know that to be absent from the body is to be present with Our Lord for those who have trusted Him and Him alone to get them to Heaven.
Our family’s gift of ministry is through song. While warming up my voice to sing at the funeral, your song “Just for a Moment” started playing on the computer. I just wanted you to know moments like funerals are not top on my list of favorites, but when your song came on I couldn’t help but sing and be joyful despite the sadness in my heart. Thanks for the reminder to rejoice in everything and to live life to the fullest because every “moment” comes from Him.
Posted on March 1, 2008 at 5:49 pm
Dear Joyce,
It is wonderful to hear how God used that song to minister to you during this difficult time. May God’s peace enfold you and yours.

Jessica,
I do not know why, other than the Lord,
but I feel impress to ask you to get on the internet and type the following words:
I sat where they sat Bob Hughes
When the site comes up, press the play button above the picture of Bob Hughes.
Listen to this message.
Make sure that it is a quiet time with no interruptions.
Why you?
Perhaps you know. I do not.
I do not know you.
I have never met the Marshall family.
I just felt compelled to ask you to listen to this message.
Posted on February 19, 2008 at 10:29 pm
Jim,
We’ll have to check out that message. Thank you.
Posted on March 4, 2008 at 5:31 pm
Hello Marshalls!
Just want to say I have been blessed by your CDs–I’ve recently come home from serving with 6 months in Ghana, West Africa, and one of my friends I was working along with had brought some of your music along–we would listen to one of your CDs ( I thought it was your 25th anniversary recording but cant seem to find it on your website) as we went about our house hold chores there, and were very blessed by your songs….”Crimson River”, “Stand By God’s Man”, “Abide In Me”. THank you. They were very encouraging to hear over on the mission field! God bless you!
Posted on February 18, 2008 at 10:31 pm
Hello Ann,
We’re glad to hear that the CDs were a blessing to you. The Anniversary CD should be available again. Please check back for updates.

Hello to Monica! You may not remember me, but we were pen pals for several years beginning in 1993. I grew up in Fellowship Baptist in Durham, NC. I think of your family often, especially since I still have many of your cassetes (!!!) and newer CDs. I live in Indiana now with my husband and two girls. I would love to hear from you!!!

I just wanted to thank you all for your stand on Bible principles regarding music.
I bought several of your DVDs recently, and was wondering if you or your extended family were planning on producing more… and if so, were there any financial needs that could be assisted.
God bless you…

Hi,
I noticed my last post was edited. Would you mind emailing me regarding what you do/don’t want posted here? I just want to help.
Thanks,

Hi Landon,
We appreciate your words; we just didn’t think it was appropriate for all ages. If you want to email us anything along those lines, that would be fine.

Dear Marshall family
I feel soooo blessed to know about you and the wonderful music you all made over the years, first time I got to hear you all sing was about 10 years ago at Light House Baptist Church in San Diego CA I had just got saved and Mrs. Marshall spoke to the ladies about “how to dress ” as a Christian lady “slits, tight form fitting, open, or low cut shirts tight short skirts, you name it she spoke against it and oh boy did I need that!!!!!!!! It was a BLESSING !!!!!!!! when it was over it felt like God himself came down and spoke to my heart and through what ever words she said HE did a marvelous change inside me, IT WAS NOT TOO LONG AFTER THAT, my whole clothes closet changed and praise the LORD I have no desire to ever go back, since then I have learned to sew some long wide skirts and dresses for my 2 girls and my self.
Mrs. Marshall I do not know if you remember, you came to my hair salon, I gave you a perm and hair cut it was such a blessing to visit with you, back then all I wanted to do was to be like you when I grow up, in fact you were one of the ladies that told me about home schooling too, so I just wanted you to know that your sacrifices and ministry has blessed me greatly.
Praise Jesus for your ministry
Helen
