On the Road, Again

Sunday, March 30: Dad, Mom and Monica made their way from West Virginia to Emlenton, PA Saturday afternoon, while Joanna and Jessica came from NJ for our meeting at Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton, PA. We set up the P.A. system, then retired to some comfortable accommodations a little ways from the church. It has been about four years since we have been at this church. They seem to be doing well and the church is full. In Sunday School we sang, gave testimonies, and Dad preached. The members seemed to enjoy the preaching especially. We sang again in Worship service. After the services this morning, we had a wonderful meal in the church fellowship hall with other families and new visitors. The evening service was pretty much a copy of the Sunday School hour, minus the testimonies. We sang a bit extra tonight. Missionary friends of ours, the Fairs, were here today and we had a good time catching up with them. (Eric, Missy and her family) Dad wanted to get back tonight, so we packed up quickly afterwards and headed home. Sunday, April 6: We had a six-hour trek today, but made it safely. After checking in at our hotel, we went to Bob Evans with Pastor French and his wife. They are sweet people and it was nice to get to know them a bit. Dad preached and we sang in the main service this morning. We went to eat with Pastor French, his wife, his daughter, and her fiance. Boy, was that some good pizza! Some friends of ours came this afternoon and we spent the time up until the evening service catching up with them. Tracy (Taylor), her daughter, Allana, and Tracy's sister, Sarah, and her daughter, Morgan came to see us from Dayton. It had been almost eleven years since we saw them last! It's great to see how the Lord guides us over the years and allows us to meet up again. Services once again were a blessing and we had plenty of help loading up the van. We went to eat with the Ryans, who we know from years ago, and Tracy and Sarah came with us, as well. We made it back to the hotel late, but full and happy.
