And the rest of the month, we...

The rest of the month found us at home, busily working on "catching up". It sure is hard to find time to do all the little things that make the ministry tick, but it has to be done. There are always e-mails to catch up on, website content to update, laundry to be washed, phone calls to make, and sleep to enjoy. And then there are any number of other things thrown in for good measure. I'm not sure how to describe our schedule, but one way would be to take out a piece of paper and write down all of the things you may need to accomplish in any given week. Then, be prepared for that list to be challenged over and over again...and your days to turn out completely different. Thus, the life of a traveler can be full of adventure. If you don't like being pulled many different directions and having to be flexible, don't sign up to be involved in a traveling ministry! The blessings, however, are rich and opportunities abound. Sunday, October 18 found us at the Community Baptist Church in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Dave Smith. They had their annual Old Fashion Sunday and we were happy to take part in that. Dad preached in the afternoon service and we provided music throughout the day. It was nice to be back with Dad and Mom for this meeting and to minister together. The last Sunday in October we sang at our own church--Independent Baptist Church in Kingwood, West Virginia. Pastor Terry Cumberland is a faithful servant of the Lord and has stood behind our ministry and greatly encouraged us. We are thankful for he and his wife's love and support, as well as all of the good people at our church.
